Impressive body of work you have here Danny Brown. Even in the wayback machine of Jan 2009. You're a terrific bus driver, thanks for the free ride. But perhaps you should start charging the big bucks for all us people who hate walking? ;-)
.-= Christina Kingston´s most recent blog post ...Is Your Twitter Diet Killing You? =-.

Re: Choosing Bus Stops

Uh oh, did I really say that? I mean... your post reminded me. We can't rely on just being good at one thing now - there are too many variants that will deviate us from our paths if we let them. After all, even staying on the same path can sometimes get you lost...

Re: Choosing Bus Stops

Well said. :)

You remind me of the double-decker bus used for sight-seeing. It is the experience between here and there, not the destination per se.

Hendry Lee's Recent post...How to Turn Your Ideas into Remarkable Blog Posts

Re: Choosing Bus Stops

Danny, I'm glad you used a bus analogy and not a train; I've had just about enough of trains today...! But that's beside the point!

I like the comparison of the day to day operations of the business as a journey; indeed, as the importance of efficient operations increases ever more steeply due to the economy, our ability to undertake several actions simultaneously is challenged. It is our responsibility to ensure that not only are we able to 'deliver our fare safely', but to ensure that we are able to do so whilst navigating the thousands of obstacles placed in front of us on a daily basis.

Insightful as always, Danny.

TLR

Re: Choosing Bus Stops

thanks for sharing this Danny - i was only mulling over this yesterday (leaders and followers)... this is a ice way of putting it. I agree with TLR that we dont need any more train wrecks - and i'll add - head ons with cars... so a comfy bus ride is awesome.
