Danny, I must admit, my reasoning for 'friending' you on the various platforms has been for selfish reasons; to benefit from your knowledge! Friending is a hugely important element of the social media, as it does truly allow one to develop an understanding of fresh perspectives Hopefully, despite sharing points of view on a number of topics, we also differ in other thoughts. This stimulates debate and helps us to extend our knowledge accordingly.

I want to thank you in return for your friendship. In my opinion this is the best of social media. I hope to learn from you more in the future and share from my experience with you as well. This is a great way to thank friends, fans, followers and readers and I wish you a lot more of those.
Thanks. I agree, social media definitely seems a lot more open and.. well, "social", and this is where it succeeds over similar mediums. And it's always nice just to say thanks :)

You know we've had a few interactions via Twitter, your blog, my blog etc. The thing is - you are just that: interactive with your followers, commenters and readers and by being that way you create an awesome positive value. I think to share as you do, then to follow up with that interaction is KEY for anyone to want to emulate.
